I have also used duct tape to make a hold a tap on that was used to store drinks for a cook out. Accidentally dropped it in the toilet today, and the thing STILL RANG UNDERWATER because the seal of the duct tape was so tight. Pretty cool stuff. The new drive was a different size and did not come with mounting brackets for the machine it had to go in. This was a 24 x 7 operation - they gave me fifteen minutes of downtime to get the new drive in.. I duct taped the stupid thing in place with cardboard spacers.. I was so embarrassed that I left a note inside the machine explaining why I had to do what I had to do :-) Once, long after any stores were closed, I had to do a swap of a disk drive in a customer’s machine.
