Nice list- now all we need is for someone to check all these out, make a best of, and create a distro that installs all the appropriate packages, skins, icons and so on.
"macbuntu" anyone?
Forgive me if someone has done this, I am posting before checking.

I am a mac user at home but am forced to use a windows machine at work. The main reason of windows use is $$ and not much other reason. I would rather use a more powerful linux machine and save $$ than use the money to buy a throwaway dell computer.
